Hi, I’m Christine and I spend a lot of time thinking about my next meal!
On this Blog
Food evokes more memories than most things in life and the consumption of food can transport people back into their past. That’s why I decided to start a blog – to go back and revisit wonderful memories of food – particularly of eating out.
I think that during the past century there has been an amazing transformation in food culture and eating out the UK. Of course, I wasn’t present for all of the last 100 years, so I will be doing quite a bit of research in order to account for the time before I was born.
I was raised in my parents’ seaside hotel in Morecambe on the north west coast of the England. It was here at the age of eight that I developed a love of all things food and hospitality. Domestic Science became my favourite subject at school and my time spent studying Hotel & Catering Management in Huddersfield were some of the best years of my life!
I now live in Surrey with my husband and Lakeland Terrier Fergal. With London on our doorstep we both love to spend our time sampling some of the astounding variety of gastronomic delights that our great capital city has to offer.
So let the nostalgic food trip begin. I don’t have a clue where it will end – but that’s very exciting!
